Can I learn the Rules of Golf through the NCGA?

Yes, NCGA offers two ways to learn: in-person classroom style seminars or in-person on-course.

The NCGA offers two ways to learn the Rules of Golf: visit our Rules Resources page or you can attend one of our seminars.

We offer two types of in-person seminars:

  1. Our Rules Seminars (typically January–March) are two-day, classroom style sessions with an optional exam on the third day — check the Rules Education page for current dates.

  2. Our On-Course Rules Seminars given different times of year cover various situations in an on-course setting and typically run as full-day sessions — verify current hours on the Rules Education page.
