I’ve had a GHIN number before; Can I use the same one if I rejoin the NCGA?

GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) automatically deletes inactive GHIN numbers after three years of inactivity. Whether your original number is still active depends on how long ago your membership lapsed. If fewer than three years have passed, your original GHIN number may still be retrievable. If three years or more have passed, you will be assigned a new GHIN number when you rejoin. Note that a new GHIN number means your previous handicap history will be associated with your old number and may need to be manually reconciled by NCGA staff.

If you’re unsure whether your GHIN number has been deleted and you were a member of the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) — and not another state's golf association — please fill out the Forgot GHIN Form to retrieve your GHIN number by email. If we cannot locate your number with the information provided (such as your name, email address, and date of birth), we will open a support ticket and follow up with you directly.
