How to Enter Scores for Multiple Players Using the “Many Players” Method 

The “Many Players” method in Rapid Score Entry allows club staff to quickly post scores for multiple golfers who share common attributes (Date, Posting Method, Score Type, Course, and Tee). Use this method when all — or most — golfers played under the same conditions. Presetting shared data fields before entering scores auto-populates the Score Entry Row, making the bulk posting process significantly faster. 

Default Tees for men and women can be setup at the same time and will populate based on the gender of the golfer associated with the GHIN number entered.

  • Select the “Many Players” button.

  • In the setup area, preset the common data fields (Date, Posting Method, Score Type, and Course). These fields will auto-populate the Score Entry Row below. Note: The Tee field is not updated here because it is determined by the golfer's gender.

  • Enter a GHIN number. Once a GHIN number is entered, the golfer's name and Handicap Index will display in the lower left.  Because the golfer in this example is male, the male default tee has been automatically selected.

You can change any of the preset in the Score Entry Row during the score entry process.  Once the score is posted the fields will reset to the defaults. 

The score input boxes displayed will vary depending on the Posting Method selected:

  • 18 (9+9): The Front 9 and Back 9 boxes are enabled; the Total score box is disabled.
  • 18 Total or 9 Total: The Total score box is enabled; the Front 9 and Back 9 boxes are disabled.

Once scores are entered, click the Post Score button. If a GHIN number is not found or is invalid, an error message will display and the score will not be posted. The score is immediately added to the golfer's scoring record and will also appear in the table below. If needed, you can delete the score directly from the table.  Deleting the score from the table will immediately remove it from the golfer's scoring record. Note: Score deletions may be subject to your club's posting permissions and USGA guidelines. 

If the score was posted with the 18 (9+9) posting method, the Front 9 and Back 9 scores will display in the table, in addition to the total.

If the score was posted using the 18 Total or the 9 Total posting method, the Front 9 and Back 9 score columns will be blank, and the total score will be displayed.
